Ladies and gentlemen,
In this Email you will find a feedback about our stay at the Key Lime Inn.
It has been our 4th visit at this place within the past 3 years, and we had every time very enjoyable stays. The following criteria made us choose the Key Lime Inn:
1. The staff was friendly, polite and helpful, especially at the reception. The check-in/out processes were good and fast (we had booked online). We would have been even more pleased if the computer had recognized that we had already been guest in the past. It is always nice to hear a “welcome back” when checking-in.
The cleaning staff was very attentive as well. We had our “do not disturb” card hanging at the door, because we did not need any cleaning on that day. We met the cleaning lady outside and she asked us if we wished to exchange our bath towels. So we just gave her our used ones against fresh ones. Very attentive service!
The prices of the overnights are comparable to other hotels in the area, and the quality/price relation is good.
2. The rooms are comfortable, nicely decorated and very clean, point that is very important for us. Having a safe, a fridge and a coffee-maker are other details that of course add to the comfort.
The fact that the hotel is organized in bungalows and rooms on one floor only is another point that we particularly appreciate, especially while traveling with heavy suitcases.
The nice little pool is very enjoyable as well, to relax in between tours and visits.
The breakfast is okay but could be improved. The corner with the breakfast items is just too small, the toasters are located in the far corner of the tables and it takes quite a long time to gather everything, especially when a lot of guests are waiting. 2 days in a row there was no table available to eat at 8 a.m., even though the hotel was not full. People were already queuing before the opening (European guests have 6-8 hours time difference and wake-up very early if they just arrived).
3. The location of the hotel is perfect for our needs. Walking distance to the main street, restaurants and attractions, but far enough from the noise and tumult.
We especially enjoy the restaurant “915” on Duval street and the “Sunset bar” at the far end of Duval street.
4. For all those reasons we regularly recommend the Key Lime Inn to friends and family members planing a trip to Key West.
