Lighthouse Court lacks adequate parking for everyone staying at the hotel, which means I had to spend a significant amount of time searching nearby streets for paid parking because of when I had arrived during the day in relation to other guests that also wanted to park on-site. The issue I have with this is simply that if you’re going to spend a good amount of money on staying at a nice inn, you’d expect that the basic amenity of free on-site parking would be available to you.
I found a $20 per-day lot and then I had to walk my bags a good distance from the lot to the inn. I realize parking is sparse in Key West, but it would be nice if Lighthouse Court would compensate visitors who cannot fit their car in their lot for the fee they have to pay elsewhere. I’m not sure if they would be willing to do this as this possible solution only occurred to me as I was writing this review.
Everything else about Lighthouse Court was great. The staff were friendly, the chambermaids left new towels outside our room when “privacy please” prevented them from getting access when they needed to, the hotel itself was beautiful. Counter-space in the bathroom was sparse, but that’s not a big deal. Would stay again.By: Michael July 3, 2014
