My girlfriend and I and another couple stayed at the Lighthouse Court Hotel between 12/1 and 12/4 as part of a 6 day trip to the Keys from Connecticut. I’ve been to Key West a number of times but this was the first time I’ve stayed at your hotel.
Both women who greeted us at the reception desk were polite and welcoming. The check-in process was quick and easy – less than 10 minutes – and all of our questions were answered.
We were scheduled to stay in a standard room but because of some maintenance issues with these rooms, both couples were “upgraded” to two bedroom suites. Ours was upstairs in the main building of the hotel overlooking the hotel courtyard/pool area. The room was exceptional. It was clean, well-maintained and the waitstaff did a nice job throughout our stay. I suppose the air conditioning could have worked a little better but it wasn’t a major issue. While the weather wasn’t ideal, we enjoyed the outside areas and the pool. The full bar just steps away was a nice addition. On the 3rd and final night, we were awakened 3 times by the smoke detector sounding due to a failing battery. Not a great way to start the morning (3 AM), but it was taken care of in less than an hour from the time I called to report it.
Both my girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at the Lighthouse based on the room, the location and the polite staff. While I like to stay at different places each time I go to Key West, I will certainly keep the Lighthouse Court Hotel on my list of places to return and recommend it to my friends who are heading south.By: Mike Wood December 22, 2015
