My wife and I have been to KW a few times but this was the first time without an “agenda”. We’ve stayed at another of their HKWI hotels but this was our first stay at Lighthouse Court. We agreed that this location is probably our favorite. On Whitehead we were centrally located and close to everything but it’s still quiet enough that we could relax and get a good night sleep. The neighborhood roosters that we had read about didn’t bother us at all and the room was cleaned everyday. We stayed 4 nights and our 3rd night was discounted for being repeat customers of HKWI’s. We were also given a complimentary upgrade which was much appreciated.
The breakfast isn’t anything special, but when you have Blue Heaven (best place for breakfast) right around the corner and Six-Toed Cat across the street you have all you need for breakfast. Santiago’s Bodega and Kojin (ask for a half order unless you’re extremely hungry) were our favorite places for dinner and Garbo’s Grill on Caroline has an amazing Yum Yum Shrimp taco.
We drove in from Miami, but traded the car for scooters from A&M. The parking is extremely limited at Lighthouse but they do have a parking lot two blocks away.
We would certainly recommend the Lighthouse Court Hotel to friends and family.By: DH on March 30, 2016
