This charming guest house is situated perfectly for walking to most of the attractions and only one block off of Duval Street means easy access to the hustle-bustle when the mood strikes. With the Lighthouse next door and Hemmigway’s home right across the street, how could we go wrong?
The staff here was very friendly–we felt like we were special guests from the moment we checked in. Ronnie was happy to assist with directions or suggestions and housekeeping was fast, efficient and happily worked around our schedule.
The light breakfast buffet by the pool in the morning was a nice way to ease into the day and a cocktail in the afternoon at the Mojito Bar became a ritual.
Our only bump was the mini-fridge which was somewhat iced over and then decided to thaw itself during the first night, but maintenance was there first thing (as soon as we were ready for them) to come in and replace it with a new unit. Perfecto!
While our dining spanned the gamut from a light lunch at Banana Cafe to a stunning dinner at Latitudes, I think our favorite meal was a traditional breakfast at Amigo’s the day of our departure. The Juevos Rancheros rocked!!
Thank you so much to all the staff at the Lighthouse. We had a marvelous time!By: Scott A. Drake October 6, 2014
