We stayed at the Merlin Guest House at the end of March 2016. Our flight was early in the morning and we fully expected that our room would not be ready when we arrived at Merlin. The cab dropped us off at the door and we checked in the office. As we expected, the rooms were not ready at 10am. But, the gentleman in the office, offered to keep our luggage for us, offered us a place to change and a glass of tea, while we walked around awaiting our room. A short while later, our room was ready and we checked in. Our room was beautiful, it was spotless, looked as if it was just remodeled and we were the first guest staying in the room.
Each morning, there was Continental breakfast served in the court yard next to the pool and all afternoon there was iced tea available in the court yard.
Our room was cleaned and remade each morning, everything refreshed including the Keurig coffee that was in the room. One morning, I banged my leg on the corner of the bed and I notified the office and later that day after returning from lunch, there was a note in the room from the maintenance person and housekeeper advising that the repair was completed and asked us to notify them if it wasn’t to our expectation. We couldn’t have asked for any more.
We will definitely return to the Merlin Guest House in the future and recommend all of our friends to try this place that was only 1 block off Duval Street.By: Ed & Cindy Beres on April 6, 2016
