We were warmly greeted by the friendly lady at the front desk. Our room was ready and was an eclectic mix of historic buildings and modern furnishings. Room is not big, maybe 10 feet wide but much longer. Bed was comfortable and bathroom well appointed. Everything was clean. Breakfast on the pool deck was a nice touch that included locally made ham and cheese croissants. The day time desk guy steered us right to where to rent bicycles; and managed the hand off of our bag to the porter take it back to the ferry.
Here’s what could be better. The bed, as I said was comfortable, was overdue for replacement. It is a platform bed and the mattress sags over the side on one side. This is all based on a one night stay, so if your stay is longer, it may become a problem.
So, would I stay there again? Absolutely.By: Andrew Hereth on February 7, 2017
