Merlin Guest House – Absolutely Wonderful Stay in the Keys!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Merlin Guest House for 2 nights this December and it was absolutely amazing! We wish we could have stayed longer and are definitely planning to visit again! The staff was wonderful and our whole trip started out great by the quick check in and wonderful dinner recommendations. The rooms are cozy and very lovely and the location is absolutely superb, just a few steps from Duval St and not far from Southernmost Point, Fort Zachary Taylor, the Harbour or any other attraction. One of our favourite breakfast spots, Sarabeths, was only a block away on the same street which was very convenient and ever so delicious. The pool was a great temperature and though small it was perfect for a night time swim. I would most definitely recommend the Merlin Guest House to friends and family as it was overall an excellent stay and we loved the staff, atmosphere, location and experience and wouldn’t change a thing. We can’t wait to come back! 🙂

Lighthouse Court Hotel – Clean, Friendly and We Were Able To Walk EVERYWHERE!!!

My husband and I stayed at Lighthouse Court for the first time on our recent trip to Key West.  The hotel is literally 1 block off Duval (the quiet end) and right across the street from Ernest Hemingway’s home.  We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go!!!  In the past we had to take cabs everywhere!!!  The hotel is great.

The grounds were well kept & the way the buildings are situated around the courtyard gives the place a very cozy feeling even though you’re in the middle of everything.  The room was beautiful, clean, and quiet.  We spent our days out wandering Duval St, eating, and even took a shark tour!  Our room was just perfect to come back to, cool off, & rest up for the next adventure.  We figured out Blue Heaven was just a matter of walking a block down the back alley, so we never took advantage of the complimentary breakfast.  I saw them setting up and it looked like they had plenty of choices.  The front desk staff and bartender were very friendly and the housekeeping staff always greeted me with a smile when I saw them.  Little things like that mean a lot to me.  We will return, hopefully soon!!!

Merlin Guest House – A Great Stay

A lovely hotel including a nice breakfast, very peaceful and tranquil although walking from all the sights and bars on Duval street it was nicely tucked away and all staff were friendly and helpful. We loved Key West.

Merlin Guest House – Cute, Cute, Cute

This guest house is perfect. My wife and I are local to key west, but wanted a space to get ready during our wedding celebration. The room was much more than we expected, (spacious, private, clean) breakfast was perfect to wake up to and the friendly kitty that came with the property made it feel like home. I will be recommending the hotel to friends and family. Thank you!

Lighthouse Court Hotel – Total Relaxation

I stayed in the Lighthouse Court Hotel December 9th. Laura booked me in and she was an encyclopedia of knowledge.
The hotel is spotless and inviting, with a calm relaxing atmosphere. Continental Breakfast beside the pool was delicious. If you seek a full American breakfast, just walk across the street to the cafe.
I rented a scooter and the front desk organized this, hassle free delivered to the hotel. I am a mature student of 44 years young, I spent hours in the back garden studying, I didn’t disturb anyone and likewise. This is the place to stay, within a short walking distance from Duval street.
I will return again!! Any person traveling solo will enjoy this hotel.
I didn’t feel like eating out and a list of take out menus was provided, I enjoyed the Thai.
Gary Cooper, the black cat, is the hotel Mascot…..

Cypress House Hotel – Excellent Stay! Will Be Back!

I’m so glad we found this little diamond in the rough! It’s setting was just perfect! Close enough to Duval (about 1 block) but far enough away to not be bothered by the noise! The staff were super friendly! Dennis treated us like family! The night staff made sure we had a good place to park as I am handicapped! (Wish I could remember his name-Josh??) The room was right by the pool which was perfect even though we didn’t get in! The setting is just perfect! Plenty of outdoor seating!

We were greeted with a nice little happy hour where the Conch Fritters and Sangria were plentiful and tasty!  The only issue was the air conditioner could have been cooler. We did not tell the staff until morning and they were upset we didn’t call the night before.  It was fixed that day! We will definitely return on our next trip south!

Albury Court Hotel – Perfect in Key West

Albury Court Hotel has a perfect location for Key West, we walked everywhere we wished to go.  We enjoyed the hideaway sun deck above the pool for afternoon reading and sun bathing.  Staff was excellent, room was cleaned every day, great breakfast with a morning newspaper.
