We enjoyed our stay at Albury Court very much. The place was very clean and felt like we were staying in a real historic Key West building. Our rooms were very comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was just far enough away from the main tourist area to provide a sense of calm and quiet but close enough to so many attractions that it was no problem to walk to find things to do and very nice places to eat. It was very enjoyable to unwind and cool off in the pool and relax on the patio.
The breakfast at the pool was very nice, and we availed ourselves each day we were there. I do have one comment about the breakfast, however. There were no labels or other information about any of the available items on the buffet, although the nature of many was obvious. I doubt that I’m the only vegetarian who stays at Albury Court, and it was not a pleasant surprise when I bit into what I thought was a plain croissant but found it filled with ham and cheese. If the lack of information about the contents of the breakfast buffet is standard, I’m surprised that you haven’t gotten comments about this before.
That was the only thing I could find to complain about. In every other detail, we were quite pleased with the look and atmosphere of the place and the cordial staff. The ambiance made us feel right at home in Key West. We were especially pleased by the suggestion that we take lunch at Paseo down the street. It was every bit as good as the desk recommended.
Thanks again. I hope to return in the fall.By: Tom Lockridge May 2, 2013
